I need some motivation!

5 out of 7 days this week I think I've gone over my 1600 calories/day. I haven't gone over 2000 calories though. I find myself slipping back into old ways and I really don't want to do that. I've lost so so SO much weight but it's like I'm craving food constantly. I need motivation please!

Keep your head up!
As long as you are still consuming less calories than your BMR then you will continue to lose weight. Double check your BMR and make sure your eating less, or your net calories after exercise is less.
You can do it! :flowerforyou:0 -
Look at your own profile and remind yourself why you are doing this. Then look how far you have come in such a relatively short period of time. You absolutely can meet your goals!!0

Do you set your menus ahead of time? For me, I pretty much have to know what I'm going to eat throughout the day before that days starts. I know what I'm going to have for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and then the only thing I leave open is dinner, since my husband cooks it. But he cooks foods that will work within my calorie range.
Sometimes, it's good to sit back, take a breath and just really prepare. If you don't have to think about what your next meal is, it's easier to stay on track. And keep your water handy. Sometimes we put food in our mouths when chugging a nice big glass of water will satiate us.
Good luck! And I'd love to see some before and "during" pics. I bet that 40lbs looks fantastic off of you!!!! Have a great evening!0 -
do you eat out of boredom? i know i do. eating is like a sport to me! which is bad. try a new sport!!0

You can DO THIS!! You are almost at the half way mark. Look at how much you've accomplished so far. Make it your challenge this week to make low calorie versions of your favorite foods (pita pizzas, splenda cupcakes, ect.) to satisfy your cravings....

You've got some good advice here.
keep up the good work.

Sometimes when I'm feeling "snacky" I come here with a big glass of ice water & read what people are saying & get inspired all over. I read profiles of people like you who have lost more weight than I have & see what they're doing differently. I check out the newbies. I read the group posts.
Sometimes I window shop online & don't buy anything, but pick out things I'd like to have when I lose a little more.
:blushing:
Other times my best bet is to go out for a walk & think of something besides food.
In any case, don't lose sight of what you've already accomplished. Hang in there!

Thank you to everyone who has helped me by giving me advice or ideas! I absolutely know why I am snacking and going over and it's because I don't have time to sit down and think things through lately. I'm in the middle of changing jobs and trying to start school in the fall. Also I get bored or antsy if I'm doing something I don't enjoy very much. I have to remember that I have lost a lot of weight and obviously I want it badly or I would have never tried. Thank you so much again!0
