Achilles Tendonitis

Hello all! I have a question for those who have or have had tendonitis. A couple months ago I was diagnosed with Achilles tendonitis and the doctor said to not run for a week and then I should be good. Uh, it has been 2 months and I still can't run. It even sometimes hurts when I walk. How long does this type of injury really take to heal???? I am tired of being limited by my stupid foot.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I had this also, and for several months almost a year I couldn't do anything. But keept walking anyway or I should sy tried. After I had my stomach bypass and lost some weight the swelling went down and now I can jog on treidmill and go on walks with no pain in my foot. I had it in both ankles. Yes I feel for ya because I do know how it feels and it did slow me down on exersice. It was recommended to me to ride bikes and water arombics.0
