Is sugar just sugar?!

So i've been going over on my sugar intake lately. But its not because of sweets it's from my fruit! Does it matter if its fruit sugar or "regular" sugar or is sugar just sugar? I'm wondering if that is part of the reason i am at a stand still with my weight?

Fructose cannot be stored in the muscle, it can only be stored in the liver or as fat. Best not to have too much fruit IMO.0

What Matt said. The biggest thing is are you eating stuff with added sugar or just the organic natural "as it comes" option. Added sugar is total garbage for you as you're gaining no real value from the caloric increase. But like Matt said, keeping your sugar low is important, so too many sugars, no matter the source, can be bad.0

If there's something in your diet that's causing you to not lose weight, it's doubtful it's the fruit your eating. Going over on sugar is a given simply because the g's are for discretionary sugars (added) not the natural sugars found in various natural foods.0

Sugar and carbs are treated the SAME way in the body. Both are broken down to glucose to be used by the body.

Just my opinion but sugar in fruit is not the same as the added sugar in "bar code" foods and what we add to coffee and cereal. In the fruit package you get antioxidants, fiber, vitamins & minerals minimal calories along with fructose.
What do you get in a packaged food? Ha!!!!
Fruit is not the enemy as many say.0 -

If the diet is unbalanced, its unbalanced. The source of the unbalance isn't as important as the unbalance itself. Cut down on sugars across the board. Problem solved.0
