What is your definition of moderation?
Not trying to debate, just curious how different people think of it.

Moderation is serving size portions... eating 2 cookies instead of 5, having a single burger instead or a triple, having a 12 or 22oz diet soda instead of a 32oz... you get what I am saying0

Instead of getting 3 globs of Mac and cheese at the family gathering, get a scoop and a half and have a SLICE of cake not 2 servings of it.0

For me moderation means there are no bad foods, I can and do eat pretty much everything I ate before just smaller portions.Moderation also means a balanced life.0

I look at moderation as staying within my calorie range for the day. I eat whatever I want as long as it stays within my calorie intake for what is suggested on here.
Now the tricky part is budgeting those calories throughout the whole day so you don't eat all of them at one sitting.. it's a little trickier than you might think and then you end up opting for healthier choices so you can balance out all of your meals and calories for the day.0 -
a 6 pack of beer :bigsmile:0

I eat 80% good (right macros and more whole foods) then 20% whatever as long as I don't exceed my daily calorie intake. If I do, I exercise a little more to comp.

The definition will be different for everyone and can be interpreted in as many ways as we can fathom.0

I would call it no food off limit, just how much of said food. I have pizza every week, but I'm no longer eating 4+ pieces in one sitting. Keep myself at two. Ice cream is fine, just keep it below your total calorie allotment. Things like that.0

For me moderation is a serving size or half a serving if it doesn't fit into my daily calories!!0

As long as it fits into my daily calorie goal. One meal at a time..0
