suggestions for home cardio machine

i've decided i need an at-home cardio something for mornings when i know i can't get to the gym. i'm not a runner or a stationary biker, but i'd love an arc or elliptical type machine. if you have one you LOVE or absolutely can't stand, can you let me know the brand and/or model? i'm aiming to keep it under $500 but i'm flexible and could also seek out a used one. thanks :D

    i'd suggest a second-hand concept 2 rower.
    They are very well built, provide a great workout and have an amazing online community. I'd look for a model D. Quality ellipticals are vry expensive in comparison.

    Thanks for the suggestion! i haven't ventured into rowers yet (nervous about injury with poor form) but this might be an opportunity to perfect my form! thank you :)
