Hi everyone,

I am beginning my weight loss program today! I've decided to do it slow and healthy. I am going to focus on eating sensible portions of lean protein, whole grains, fruits & veggies and on avoiding refined carbs and sugars. My exercise goal is 5 cardio workouts and 4 sculpting workouts per week, plus 1 session of yoga. My cardio workouts are 30 to 90 minutes of running, stairs, dance aerobics or kickboxing. My strength workouts will primarily be the Tracy Anderson mat workout, which is 60 minutes.

I was in really good shape five years ago, and then I went back to school and didn't focus on my fitness and nutrition. I ganied 20+ pounds and lost muscle and flexibility, though I still have a decent fitness base. I am excited and determined to lose this weight and get in shape, because I am so uncomfortable the way I am now. I want my lean, fit body back! I'm so glad there are other people here with similar goals. Good luck to everyone! Let's do this.
