Not a newbie here, but I normally check in every couple of months to see if anyone new is in my area to go for walks or just for support. I have a good MFP family, but don't have many friends around me at home due to losing contact and growing apart.
I do have a wonderful husband but there is only so much "girl chat" he can cope with!
