I don't know I do this to myself, but every time I start a new workout program, I always have my first weigh-in the week before my period :( I can drink TONS of water and still get the water weight gain so I'll weigh in and be absolutely discouraged even though I know I followed my workout routines every day and ate sensibly. So, my question is- Is there a way to keep the PMS bloat & weight gain at bay? Or should I just learn to skip my weigh-in once a month?!?! Thanks for any and all help :)

even if its not PMS time the first week of any new workout could cause you to gain water weight its the body doing its job. Try to weigh in every other week or monthly and if you know its around that time of the month just scip the weight check if you know it will discourage you. I haven`t weighed myself at all since Early March and I know I`m looseing since I was in size 10jeans in Feb-March and I can now wear 8`s nicely and I feel great. So with that said go with how you feel not what a number says

Just try to accept that weight fluctuates anyway from hormonal changes and for other reasons. Weight loss is not linear. Don't freak out. You know logically that the gain is not from fat, so don't worry about it. No reason not to weigh in, unless it's going to get you down, but there's no reason it should get you down. You may be up a few pounds, but how will it compare to next month when you're up a few pounds again? The overall trend will (hopefully) be going down.
