Haha.. I Just googled it. You planning on making your own soda?0

My friend just took it over and is bringing it back to public after two years hiding. I was curious if many had heard of it. Personally, watching the acid eat through a table when it was spilled kind of cut my soda habit....0

Uh, yeah. I quit soda when I joined MFP. I can't believe I used to drink it so much!0 -

Lemon juice would do the same thing, as would vinegar. And the acid in your stomach. Also, tomatoes and limes.
And onions make your eyes water because onion compounds mix with your tears to form sulphuric acid (aka battery acid.) the acidity of soda has been seriously exaggerated for way too long.0 -

Lemon juice, tomatoes and limes would take quite a bit longer than soda to eat through a table. The acid in your stomach? Way faster. It's all about the concentration. Trust me, I'm a chemist. The concentration of acid in fruits and veggies is a lot lower than in soda. Plus all the other chemicals in soda don't help the situation much.0 -
Yeah it's the conentration. I know there's so little of it in soda because I've been there but it still creeped me out.0
