Sorry, had to get that line in...

Curious, does anyone soak/sprout your raw nuts. I'm researching and would like to try it. Wondering about shelf life...

I knew what this trread was going to be about before clicking :D

I've sprouted beans for sprouts that I put in stir-fry, salads, hamburger meat, and also tried out making Ezekiel bread with a oven and a coffee grinder...Our bread went wrong though. Turned out tasting like banana bread instead of that crap you get at the stores :D

Never tried nuts. How are they?

The only time I soak nuts is if I am making a raw dish such as raw cheese with macadamias which usually require soaking to soften them up for texture reasons in the recipe.

Other than when it is called for in recipes I have never soak or sprouted any nuts
