Hi There,
I would say I am not new to the site, I actually joined last year but also joined the Livestrong Site and that is what I used to update, anyway I am a 44 year old male who on Australia day 2011 went to a Barbeque and ended up in a competition based around biggest loser, and we made a bet to have another BBQ 4 weeks later and whoever won would win 10 dollars each off each person. I weighed in at around 95kgs, which for someone only 5’8” tall was classed in the obese zone, this was a huge shock as I used to be a half marathoner in my 20s, so anyway I won the competition and since then continued losing weight, I got down to around 76 kgs until I travelled with work last October, no excuse but find it more difficult on the road, and such is life yes you guessed I slowly started putting on again so after getting up to 83 kgs I thought this is not good. I decided in January again I would go for it...again!
Anyway I am around 77kgs now and aiming for around 70, don’t want to be a muscle bound type, just want low body fat percentage.
I still enjoy a drink, I believe you still need to indulge, so I don’t stop my odd socialising event, but I just jump back on the wagon when I do and continue.
This site, and in particular the success stories are a fantastic motivation for me.
Any questions please ask, and hopefully will post my own success story soon, feel free to look at my diary, (and offer advice if you want) I am trying to keep it up to date, and yes I know there is far too many ‘alcoholic’ treats in there. :ohwell:
