Tell me about 30 Day Shred!

Hi! I'm new here. Here is a little background on my weight loss. In September 2011 I decided I was tired of being overweight. I started watching what I eat, running/walking 4-5 days a week, and drinking lots of water and less soda/sweet tea. I work full time and have 3 kids so it's hard to get to the gym. I've lost 30 lbs so far and gone down 3 sizes in my clothes. I'm super excited about it, but want to kick it up a notch!!
I've heard talk about 30 Day Shred. I'm not totally out of shape since I walk/run but I wouldn't say I'm in shape. Tell me about the workout and the good, bad, etc. How much would you realistically expect to lose in a month?
I would like to lose another 25-30 lbs or go down 2-3 more sizes in my clothes.

I did 30DS, since i'm close to goal weight and have a thyroid issue I only lost 1.4lbs. BUT, I lost 13inches and by the end of it feel more toned and fit. I also included cardio 1-2times a week. The whole video is 24mins with warm up etc so its good when you dont have a lot of time. But you get your *kitten* kicked in that time. You need weights and a mat, I would suggest 2-3lb weights. Because its got a lot of reps. The first three days are painful, the 3rd day is the worse, but after that its amazing and you just feel great. Only thing I would suggest is that if you have bad knees try to do the modified version. I'm not doing her Ripped in 30 DVD and killer buns and thighs and 6 week 6 pack. She def gets results0

I am on day three, of the level one video. The video goes fast. By the time you're really wanting to give up, you move on to a different exercise. I really like it.0

I love it, especially for those day where you can't make it to the gym or don't have time for a long workout. Its perfect 24 minutes and it will make you sweat and you will be sore. You don't need a lot of room, just weights, I wouldn't use more than 5 to start. You can search 30 day shred in the message board and see peoples results. (LIke a lot of people who use it) I haven't dropped a lot of pounds with it, but inches and toning. When I tell people how much I lost they always think Ive lost double it...thanks to Jillian!
Best workout DVD I have bought...and realistically the only one I use. The others are collecting dust.0 -
First, congratulations on your success! I loved the 30DS! I can't speak for how much weight loss was due to the cycles vs diet, I have a lot to lose. I can speak for how great it made me feel. Each time I did it I felt stronger, I could dig deeper and do more. Everyday I felt a difference and it made me feel better about myself. I've moved to Body Revolution now but I miss the 30DS. Cycle One is free on YouTube if you'd like to test it out. Give it 3 days. You'll be sore but push and keep going anyway. You won't regret it!0

i too have been doing the 30 day shred for about 2.5 weeks now . i love it!!! its a great quick work out.
I thought i was in shape ( i did treadmill, eliptic. bowflex ect..) until i started the 30ds . omg. it tottally kicked my butt.
but it feels good. i did level 1 for 6 days then went to level 2 & gona go to level 3 next week.

Wow, 13 inches lost is awesome! I am more concerned about how I look and feel in my clothes and being toned than the number on the scale. I haven't been keeping up with inches at all. I think I'm going to order it on Amazon today! I can't wait to try it!!0 -

That's great to know!! Good luck on your shred!0 -
The 30 Day Shred is hard and it makes me sweat my butt off but it's awesome! I can honestly see results the first week. I used it for about a month and then switch to Jillian Michael's Body Revolution--HARDCORE! I have never felt so much burn in all of my life but I hope to results soon since it's even more intense. Good luck! :bigsmile:0

I want to feel it! Are all the levels on the one 30DS DVD?0 -
Just order Rip in 30 and 30 day shred and was thinking of possibly incorporating the 2 together if I can handle it. I am jumping all over the place with dif. dvds. I do not have a gym membership at all. I get bored fast, so I have tons of dvds. Glad to see your results. You look great.0

I love the 30 DS. I am on day 20 now. The first day I could not finish any of the exercises. Today I pushed through my last level 2 workout without stopping or lowering my weights. I am so ready for level 3. I have only lost a pound but I have actual muscles that I can see. I will take measurements when I am done but I have definitely lost inches. I am using 5-8 lb weights.0
