For all you slow losers...

I'm on my third week of P90X. I also run three days a week. As of yesterday, I hadn't lost a single pound according to the scale. Imagine my surprise when I got out my measuring tape and re-measured. I've lost a total of four inches in three weeks. It helped me make the decision to get rid of my scale. It went out with a box of stuff to Goodwill yesterday. I see a lot of people on here who really obsess over a number on a scale. Have you taken your measurements lately? For me, this was proof that I have gained muscle and lost fat - same weight, but smaller size.
From now on, I'm going to use inches lost as my indicator of outward success!

I reached the same conclusion yesterday, about focusing on inches lost instead of weight.
My scale is also my Wii Fit board so I won't be throwing / giving that away.0 -
being health and toned and finding your clothes fitting better and losing inches is WAY more satisfying to me than the weight loss (although I do check my weight once a week as I have a goal) Way to go!0

Same situation. I do still have my scale but I have stopped obsessing over the number, instead I focus on how my pants are fitting. I've barely lost two pounds but down just over two inches in my waist and hips.0

But, I can't figure out how to remove my ticker!0

Would be nice if you could make the ticker reflect inches lost!0

Same thing here in Texas!! I haven't lost but an initial 2 lbs (i've lost 20 since I started this journey in January 2009.) BUT I measured this morning and I am down a little over 2 inches in my waist in 3 weeks! Wish I had done P90X a loooooong time ago! :happy:0

That sounds like a good suggestion for the MFP tech board. I think I'll go post it.0 -
