Ok so i just read a post about how to calulate your body fat % and figure out what your healthy body fat % was....so i went to it (fat2fitradio.com) so i enter my info:

weight:119 (fluctuates)
wasit:28
hips: 37.5
neck:12.5
forearm: 8.5
wrist: 6

i did it under both calculation areas (body fat calculator and military body fat calculator)
And come to find out my body fat percent is 26.1% and 26.6%)
Under both i am considered overweight....i should be 19% at most to be in weight % range...now they say i should be 109 or 106 to be within weight range....and that 18%....i get told im getting too thin now...i want to get down to 115...but i really didn't have any plans to go below that.....i have been staying around 119 right now and trying to "tone"...i have been running/walking (with wrist weights on) and/or doing step areobics (again with wrist weights on) i do have light weights (2 or 3lbs) that i lift periodically...and i have resistances bands that i do leg exercises with....i am trying to tone...not really bulk up....i know im not going to bulk up if i go to 5lbs but i really am weak. I do want to get stronger Im just not sure how to do it.

OK so after all my rambling....i guess my real question is what does anyone recommend as a workout/exercise to try to bring down my body fat %....i am really upset to pretty much have just come to the realization that i am skinny fat...i always knew i needed to workout more and tone up...but didn't think i was in range of being overweight by %.....thats pretty upsetting...and i really want to change that asap!!!! i have really just realized i need to stop worring about the number on the scale and try to get my % down.....HELP!!!

Pick up heavy stuff. And put it back down.

Have you tried any weight training?

Why do you think you need to be at 18% or 19% to be healthy?

Did you accidentally look at the info for males?

For females age 20-40 the 'healthy range' is listed as 21-33%.

    Agreed.

Lift heavy stuff up.. put it back down.

Light weights do jack for you... if you really want to shed the body fat, then heavy is the way to go.
