Should I count my cup of green tea towards my water intake as well? I'm new to this and want to make sure I don't screw something up.

I personally don't count my coffee or tea as water, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.

I don't count my coffee or anything else that I may drink as water..........I count water as water.
I've had some doctors tell me that you need plain water and other doctors tell me that liquid is liquid.

I'm pretty sure that when you drink anything with caffeine in it, it negates the hydration aspect of water, at least a little bit. so I think you'd be better off just counting water as water, it can't hurt!

I don't count anything other than 100% water as water. When I have drank at least 6 - 16 oz. bottles of good ole' water (96 oz.), then I allow myself one flavored water - add 1/2 pkt of totally tea or whatever it's called to 16 oz. of water. I don't do it everyday, as it sort of goes against my idea of eating clean because it's artificially sweetened, and I really try to stay clear of that crap. My goal is to drink at least 128+ oz. of water daily.

I count tea as water. However, i drink a disgusting amount of water in a day so i'd be fine with or without, lol.
