you need to open up your diary so people can view it and see where the flaws are, but it could be many things, more likely than not its more about your diet than about your cardio in most cases

Make healthier choices and keep changing up your exercises. Do interval training or different exercises to running q couple of times a week. Strength training helps a lot :)

    Running for 30 minutes, will burn around 300 calories . 3 x 300 = 900.
That's only enough calories to burn 1/4 of a pound.

Running alone is not going to do it.

    Weight loss is 90% diet.

I eat healthy and run 4 times a week and eat back my calories. Mix up your running maybe by a short fast run one day then a longer one on another day? Shock your body. Good luck with it.

You need to make your diary open to the public.

Running is a terrific calorie burn, but you cannot lose weight by running alone, you have to incorporate it into a weightloss plan if you want to be successful.

This means sticking to your calorie allowance and eating properly, cut out crap and junk so that the fuel your body does have will be of the premium kind and not the two-star variety. Two-star fuel is not good for a highly-tuned car - which is what your body amounts to.

Also keep in mind that it is not speed that denotes calories burned but distance. You mentioned that your clothes are more loose but your weight is down only slightly. This is due to muscle mass. Muscles weight 30% to 50% more than fat (depending on the muscle) and your legs contain very large muscles (glut, thigh, calf) but you must drop your calories in order to drop more weight.
Something I learned the hard way was that running made you think you could eat a little more than you would on a diet and still lose weight. Not true. You will change shape from muscle toning but there will still be a layer of fat on top of the muscle. Start laying off of carbs and either stop alcohol consumption or severly limit it. One glass of red wine will undo 30 minutes of light running.

She's not going to have gained muscle mass at a significant rate in such a short period of time.

I'm not sure how you can assert she needs to 'drop' calories, without knowing how many calories the OP is currently consuming.

OP, I think we probably need a bit more information so we can help you. What calories are you eating? What kinds of foods? How are you measuring your calorie burn (HRM? distance? MFP estimates?) and are you eating back exercise cals?
