Lowering bodyfat...

Involves eating at a moderate deficit, hitting your macro's, strength training and cardio, and getting enough sleep.
Is this right? Do I have to worry about eating "clean"?

    That about sums it up.
  • As long as you hit your macro's I think you'll be fine.

I started eating clean after hitting a plateau and the fat is just dropping off, it's amazing. I've always worked out 3-4-5 times a week but never paid much attention to eating. I lost 10lbs just cutting back to 1000cal.day(ok I'm only 5'2" and started at 130lb). Then I plateaued at 118. Since eating clean- no more bagels, english muffins, breads, pastas, rice and no packaged food other than tuna/canned chicken!- I have lost 8 more lbs and the fat is finally leaving my body.
Now I aim for 1200 calories a day and eat more healthy fat and protein. Less carbs- just keep it around or under 100/day.
It made such a difference for me :)

Very similar to what I do - The carbs I get are mostly in things like my Greek Yogurt and protein bars. I aim for 1100 Net Calories. for me, I've found 140g of carbs is my tipping point. Over that, and I plateau - under that, I lose weight.
  • Thanks guys!
I generally eat healthily, but just have a hard time giving up the ice cream and M&M's. In moderation of course
