Hi all! A little bit of background, I started on myfitnesspal and going to the gym in Jan 2011, I went from 193lbs to about 185. I then fell off and stopped working out and I maintained the 185 for the majority of 2011. In December, I got back on track and have got down to 170 back at the beginning of March. I was eating 1420 calories a day and eating my exercise calories if I was hungry. I also changed my workouts once I hit 170 from a half hour on a cardio machine 4/5 days a week to hour long class sessions 3 times a week with other stuff worked in. Since I hit 170 and upped my workouts, I have stopped loosing weight. I upped my calories to 1560 about 3 weeks ago, last week I went down to 166 but then 2 days later was back up to 170 and I've been at 170 this whole week. My question is, should I scale back my workouts or should I try upping my calories even more? I'm just really confused and frustrated. The past 2 weeks have been difficult, it's hard to push myself to work out when I'm not seeing any change! Also, I should mention I only lost a half inch - an inch from my Feb. measurements to my March ones so it's not just my weight that has stalled. Any help is truly appreciated! I hope this wasn't too confusing!

Change your intensity on your workouts. Upping the workouts to longer durations means your intensity had to have dropped since longer duration requires more endurance training.

I tend to stall every 15-20 lbs and it lasts about 2-3 weeks. Sometimes, skipping 1 or 2 workouts for a week actually helps me, or it could be a coincidence, lol. If you're eating clean, you should be fine. It's difficult to say about the exercise 'cause I don't know what you're doing. Are you doing cardio and body toning? How much more do you have to lose? Keep in mind the loss slows down as the body nears it's predetermined weight.

My typical week looks like Monday 30 min arc trainer (heart rate is around 150-170), Tuesday 30 Day shred or rest, Wednesday zumba (hour long, heart rate stays up in the 170s) thursday zumba toning (again hour long, heart rate stays up) or 30 day shred, Friday rest day, Saturday hour long cardio strength mix class and Sunday is usually a rest day too.

My diet definately hasn't been the best for the past week either.

I have 25-30 more lbs to loose.

Sounds like a great routine. I really do think it's just 'cause you're getting close to your goal weight and perhaps tweak the foods a little bit. Be sure you're getting at least 3 veggies a day & 1 or 2 fruits. Go for the dark greens and orange colors. Also, closely monitor your carbs and fat intake. MFP has a high fat setting. You might want to try 25%.
