Is it really bad to go over (-21) on the protein? I am on week 2 and have already lost 6 lbs. Today was the first time I have gone over like this.

What you might see with too much protein over time is you'd get constipated... but other than that, MFP's protein settings are very low so you'll probably always eat over and it's perfectly ok.

I've found that for an active person trying to shed some fat, the protein on MFP is a bit low. If you are going to go over, make it protein, not carbs. Good luck and congrats on your weight loss!

The recommended protein range is your body weight in kg (weight in lbs divided by 2.2) multiplied by .7 for the low end and your body weight in kg multiplied by 1.2 for the high end. These numbers are the range of protein in grams that should be eaten in a day. If you fall in that range, good. If not, adjust.

    Hope it helps!
