Hello, I'm new to this program. I first downloaded the app on my phone, and realising that there is a community of people, I decided to login through the website and try to make some friends.

So, I'm a 26 year old female, and two years in August, I injured my back. I have a ruptured/herniated disc in my L4-L5 lumbar region. Because I have a ruptured disc, I can't do hardly any exercising. I was told by 3 neurosurgeons that extremely light exercise would work. I'm not even allowed to do water aerobics. I can use a spinning machine, but I can't afford the gym bill after all my prescriptions and medical bills every month.

Does anyone else have a ruptured disc who can give me advice on the type of exercise I can do?

Since hurting my back, I've gained a lot of weight. Two of the neurosurgeons told me that if I lose weight I can relieve pressure off my spine and reduce my pain level. The retarded thing about this, is they told me not to exercise very intensely. So, how am I supposed to lose weight, nay lose fat if I can't exercise? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
