Direct import of calories

I'd like a straight integration with Polar but since I can't get one and I can't make one myself since I can't get access to the MFP API then I'm thinking maybe I should just simplify my input. Does anyone see any issues with just creating a "Generic" cardio exercise and entering only total calories burned as reported by HRM?
I considered a "Generic Cardio" and "Generic Strength" exercise but I don't see a point since I believe the only

That is what I do for most of my workouts, but I title them what they are, create them then enter the cals burned from my HRM, after I back out maintenance from the total, as Polar, and most other HRM's give you total cals burned which includes BMR and your activity level burn, that would have have burned had you not worked out.0

I do the same as Eric. Just manually create exercises and input burns. Or you can match an MFP exercise and just change the calories expended (after inputting the time)0

Thanks, Yeah, as for titles I just wanted to make it quicker to enter. But I guess I could break them down into multiple exercises. Though, now that I look at it the Strength training exercises on MFP don't allow for direct input of calories so I can't create a generic workout like "Back and Triceps" and just enter calories. It wants sets, reps, weight, etc. So, I'll probably just set it as a cardio exercise too.
Has anyone seen better exercise tracking tools on other sites such as Loseit? I'm looking at runkeeper now and it is looking better everyday. When they get the new version out with the health graph it may make all of these sites like MFP obsolete and even the current version apparently integrates with polar through the smartphone app though I've not been able to get it to work for me yet. The bluetooth is not pairing with wearlink.
Update: Apparently, you need a special chest strap for bluetooth and mine is not it. Also, the bluetooth one doesn't send the standard signal only bluetooth. Crazy.0
