when some people see that you are losing weight they think something is wrong with you? Like your depressed or stressed out. Kind of like it's a back handed compliment, there has to be a reason your losing weight because you can't be doing on your own. It just irritates me a little.

Oh that'll be because they are jealous and you are making them look lazy and unhealthy. If I feel cold one of my 'friends' will tell me that it's because of my stupid diet and that I should stop eating 'all that stupid rabbit food'. Yeah. Ok, I'll do that.

PS no rabbit food here :))

Healthy lifestyles aren't the first priority in much of our society unfortunately. It's considered taboo to lose weight the healthy way. After all you must be stressed out or starving yourself right? It's ridiculous. It's also a jealousy thing- they are saying those things so they won'thave to look at themselves and their own bad habits.

Oh I definitely know that one! My superindendent who lives across the hall asked me if I was okay once, thinking that I was sick because I had shrunk! I don't know this guy, why would he say something!? Urgh. He hasn't said anything since gaining 30 lbs but I'm sure the comments will start again as I shrink some more! People (ESPECIALLY strangers) should keep their mouths shut!

It is very annoying. I get comments like "you are getting too thin that you look sick" or "you exercise too much it can't be good for you". Firstly I am still overweight I don't have far to go to be in a healthy weight range but when I get there I want to be in the middle of my weight range so I can just imagine what people will start saying when I lose the remaining 24lbs. Secondly, I workout 30 to 60 mins 5 to 6 times per week because I want to. I like how I feel when I eat and exercise the way I have been and I have no intention of stopping. So the way I see it is people can make as much comments as they want to but until I get to where i want to be I will block out the negative comments and focus on my me and where I want to be
