chip shop chips arent vegetarian!!

ive been eating them all these years without knowing
(not that many, maybe like 3 times a year or so but still!!)

    why arent they vegetarian? They're made from potatoes and cooked in vegetable oil??

    I would presume the chips are fried with or adjacent to fish, therefore they wouldn't be vegetarian.

    suppose it depends on the chippy - my local always has a dedicated fryer for the chips :)

    they use beef drippings in the oil to make the chips taste better
