Wedding Centerpiece???

Here is what I have came up with? Do you think the place mats are a good idea to put underneath it? I am thinking I want brown tablecloths but I need to do a mock table to see if it clashes too much....Any advice or ideas would be really appreciated

I tried to look for square place mats but so far cant find them anywhere...Do you think the circle ones look okay? I overlapped two of them, the red being solid.

Im not sure how to attach pics so it may have not worked??
