calculating exercise

I usually count the calories that I burn when I do my workouts (gazelle, bike, etc), but I was wondering if people also count their exercise calories when doing things like deep-cleaning, etc.

For example, I am the manager of a church campground that has large groups of people come in and do a retreat, youth camp, etc. When I am getting ready for a group to come in, I usually spend 4 - 5 hours cleaning all the buildings, cabins, etc. before people come in. This is over and above my normal routine. So, should I count those calories spent as "exercise"? Or only count my workouts?

Just wondering how others calculate their exercise. Thanks!

If it's not your usual routine and you think it exceeds your current activity level, I'd say go ahead and log it! :)

they have heavy cleaning in the exercise data base, I'd track it for sure!
