I am on a diet of 1200, but for the last month i have stood at a stand still and not lost any weight, i eat 1200 and exercise 3-4 times a week.
If i boast my calorie intake up will this help my weight loss, i have read that this can, but don't really understand how lol.
I weigh 146ibs.
Advise anyone?

the hypothesis is that at a higher calorie intake you will have a higher metabolic rate or activity level and that the increase in these will be greater than the extra calories eaten.

Best thing is to try it for 4 weeks. Add a couple of hundred calories per day in week 1, another couple in week 2, see what happens.

An extra 400 calories a day for a month equates to about 3 lbs of fat, so you shouldn't gain more than 4 or 5 lbs if the hypothesis is wrong, and if it's right you'll go the other way. Do come back and tell us.
