My sister-in-law is doing MFP with me and we both love it. Yesterday, during the day, her daily calorie goal changed but she didn't edit her goals herself, meaning she didn't go in and manually change them. Can anyone tell us why that might have happened? We do weigh in and post our progress on Wednesdays which was yesterday, so her weight changed by 1.2 pounds....could that have an effect?

MFP will automatically adjust your calories (I think every 10 pounds) to account for a decreasing BMR as you lose weight.

It set her daily calories at 1000...isn't that strange? I didn't think it would let her go lower than 1200. However she had previously set it at 1100, herself.

Why so low (in either case)??

What is her BMR? Eating below your BMR is really not healthy.

I'll have to ask her. I'm not sure other than she has always thought she couldn't lose weight on more than 1000 calories a day.
