Will you still lose weight if you only look adhere to the daily calorie count? Or do I also need to adhere to the carbs/protein/fat?

yes and no. Calories are the major player in weight loss for sure. But the balance of carbs, fat, and protein affect how well your body can perform in workouts, how hungry you feel, and how healthy you are in general. That being said, MFP numbers are not the balance I use personally. Focus on the calories but do a little research on what kind of balance you should use for carbs, fat, protein and sodium, fiber, etc if you want to. I don't even track my fat because I know I eat very little fat and only the healthy ones (olive oil, nuts, etc). I track calories, protein, fiber, calcium, and sodium. Good luck on your journey!0

Thank you! I am noticing how important the protein is because I was always feeling hungry all day until I started eating protein in the morning. Goo:happy luck to you!0
