Is it worse to go over in fat or in calories?
I am over in fat by 12g, (but at least it was mostly from avocado and olive oil), but still have 577 calories left for the day.

it's worse to go over in calories obviously as this is what your stored fat loss is based on.0

I would say going over in calories is worse. Especially considering most of your fat overage is due to good fat.0

It's fine to go over on fat occasionally especially if it's from "healthy" fats. You may also want to look at the ratio of calories from carbs:fat:protein that MFP has you on. I find it to be a bit carb heavy. As long as your daily average is between 25% and 30% of calories from fat, you're golden. If not you may want to adjust your fat intake.0
