Somewhat of a predicament

As I'm getting dress to go to work this morning the wife tells me she doesn't want me to lose any more weight. I say that I'm still not where I want to be, I'm oh so close to getting that stomach I had in my 20's. She says she likes me "meaty" and she doesn't want that. I really want to continue when she doesn't want me to. Not sure how to handle it, any suggestions?

    Do what's best for you. At the end of the day, it's your health and no matter how much you may love her, her encouraging you to stay 'meaty' does nothing for your health OR confidence.

    Do what's best for you, but you should talk about it with her. My guess is that it is causing insecurities for her because you are healthier than she is or that you are becoming more attractive to the opposite sex and might leave her or something similar...

    Yea I'm doing this for me but I wanted to make her proud of it for her. Kind of like showing of her husband (not trying to sound conceded) to her friends. It just caught me off guard that she doesn't like it.

    ^^ This...sounds like she might be insecure about you getting your old body back and what other women will 'think' or 'do'. Just re-assure her and do what is best for you and what you want to accomplish. In the end she will love it and she will see there's no reason to feel that way.
