Using pudding to thicken

I have been doing protein shakes now for about a month getting ready for when I have surgery and being on liquids for a while! I have been thickening them with pudding sf/ff flavors to help change the taste of the protein and also to thicken them and then I put in fridge over night and its nice and thick in the am when I drink it. I know there is a ton of sodium in them and was wondering if anyone knew of an alternative to use to mix in to thicken them?? Thanks

  • From looking at your journal, the sodium doesn't seem to be that bad. I'd say if it's working for you, stick with it and try to cut sodium in other areas where it is more significant.

    I use frozen strawberries and i also use oatmeal.

    Bananas and mangoes are great for thickening protein shakes.
