YOLO!!!

OK, we all know how stupid it is when people post things on the Internet regarding seemingly banal, routine life events and type "YOLO!" ("you only live once") after it. It's stupid.
But it got me thinking: have you ever done anything and thought, "hey, why not, you only live once"? In other words, have you ever had a real "YOLO" moment?

The above two examples are the ones I referred to in my original post. Not "real YOLO moments." :laugh:0

I stopped caring about what bronze age mythology had to say about my sexuality.0

Well, I suppose I took you a little too seriously. ;-)
But mine was fun, anyway.0 -

I guess my YOLO moment was skydiving....
I just recently heard of it. And then, all of the sudden, I started seeing it everywhere!
Anyway, skydiving ... that's a good one.0 -

I was criticizing the I-didn't-wash-my-hands and I-got-extra-meat posts. Not "real YOLO moments." :laugh:0 -
My favorite saying like that is: "Life is too short to............"
Last time I used it was when I was sucking on a cigar that wouldn't draw. Tossed it in the fire pit and said, "Life's to short to smoke a bad cigar."0 -

Who are you to decide what is and isn't a "you only live once" moment? To an amish person, having a beer might be one. This whole thread is offensive and shouldn't exist. reported!0

Okay, so last year I wanted to go see Alter Bridge in Portland. I live in Alaska and had to go to Seattle, so I arranged it so my trip was at the same time as the concert. I could not find anybody to go with me. I was sad. Then I said to myself "Screw it! I'm going by myself." So I booked a hotel room and booked passage on the train (which I've never done before, either) and went to Portland alone. Went and saw the concert and it was so great it made my ears bleed. They rocked. Then after the concert I went around back (with the poster I had stolen off the wall) and met the band and had them sign my poster. Now it is framed along with my ticket stub and hanging over my desk at work. So I saw the greatest concert and also have the coolest office in the universe. YOLO! :smokin:0

Im a YOLO virgin as well...Never heard of it before!!!
But, In the spirit of sharing, and by the forces of my two too strong rum and diets....I've got to say my moments were ummmmmm Getting to know my friend and her hubby better, and anal. I have a feeling I'll be waking up to an admin email tomorrow.0 -
my yolo moment...hm...it isn't really one of those crazy wreckless kinda things, but it was very unlike me! I was in a bad position and didn't really like the way my life was going and stopped chasing my dreams, so I decided one day that enough is enough, told my mom I'm moving schools, joined cheer again (old school didn't even have cheer) and never looked back. I hafta say I'm pretty proud of that. I didn't like it, realized this was it, took initiative, and changed it.0

I don't know about an administrator e-mail, but you may see an increase in friend requests. :laugh:0 -
I went back-packing alone in East Africa, got tired of roughing it after 2months and splurged on a 5* hotel in Zanzibar, complete with palm trees, masseurs and beautiful sunsets.
