After I started getting back in shape I had my bloodwork done. My Dr said I was about a year from Stage 1 diabetes and in five years I'd be in Stage 2 diabetes and other issues if I had kept on my current pace and done nothing. Thank God I found my footing and got my rear in gear. The T Rex in this pic is my unhealthy life I had and that's my motivation. To be stronger, fitter, faster and all around balanced. What got/gets you going?

  • Good post. I am running toward better health, greater appreciation for living a healthy life in a healthy body. I am always running away from the negative self perceptions in my head that tell me I should always be better, doing more, running further, lifting more, etc, etc, Thinking this way keeps me from appreciating the successes I am most definitely experiencing in the moment and the accomplishments I have already achieved.
