Online Supplement Website

Options
Hey Everyone,
Since I have to take some very drastic measures to lose weight quickly, can someone recommend an online Supplements website with good prices:

Recommendations for the following items would be great as well:

1) best protein and flavor that you liked the most.
2) best food replacement bars [snacks or whole meals] that you liked.
3) Natural snacks to eat instead of food. [Grapes, berries, nuts, etc]

Thanks

    Hi

I can't help with all your questions
but I've ordered from this site before and haven't had any problems
    http://www.vitacost.com/

As far as bars, I like Luna RAW bars...cherry pie is VERY good....unsweetened cherries, dates and almonds...no fillers
I also like Kashi roll bars

    Good luck, kim

    Recommenations:

Note: I'm working out 5 days a week with heavy weights and lots of cardio so this might not work for you!

Protein/Post workout: GNC AMPlified Wheybolic Extreme 60 Strawberry
    Pre-workout: BSN N.O. X-Plode
Multivitamin: GNC Megamen Sport 1 cap per day (Too many vitamins in the other supps to take full serving of 2 caps)
Meal replacement: Special K Protein Bar - Chocolate peanut or double chocolate
Snacks: Minute rice single servings (brown rice), Honey wheat bread with Metzetta roasted peppers, tuna in kraft low fat mayo (15 cal/2 tbsp mayo is awesome), sugar free vlasic bread and butter pickles

I get most of my stuff from DPS Nutrition.

As far as "best tasting", the proteins I'm fond of are Syntrax Vanilla Bean Torte and Cappuccino Latte. Syntha 6 also makes tasty "Dessert Proteins" but I think they have bit of an aftertaste.

Best bars I've tasted are the "Oh Yeah" bars. Peanut Butter & Strawberry is tasty. Pure Protein's Peanut Marshmallow Eclipse is off the charts.

As far as Recovery Drink, the stuff I buy from Beachbody.com, as a coach, for my P90X program is awesome.

I like to snack on turkey & buffalo jerky for extra protein. Also a fan of hummus.

You're smart in buying online. GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, etc are WAY too expensive.

Just jumping back in...hope you don't mind me high-jacking for a minute
DH recently started going to the gym...I don't think he really needs to loose (about 5 '10 and 180) but wants ot build a little muscle mass
Do these pre-work out sports shakes/powders really work/do anything?

    Thanks, kim

I find the NO Xplode kicks me into overdrive at the gym and delivers a pump like no other. Your veins look like they're going to rip out of your arms which means they're helping to deliver more O2 to your muscles while working out. There is caffiene in it and I don't take more than the smallest serving of 1 scoop. Tried taking 2 scoops once and was jittery :grumble: .

Protein is essential to pack on lean muscle since its the building blocks of muscle tissue. My protein (GNC AMPlified Wheybolic Extreme 60) is supposed to be 3 scoops at once but I take one at about 3 PM (2 hrs before my workout), one within 20 mins of working out (a critical window to take protein) and one before bed (since sleep is a surprisingly anabolic period in which your body is recovering). The key with protein is to make sure it is high quality and not just based on price. Also, make sure its not a weightgainer as they can have  1000+ calories per serving! :noway:

I do take NO Xplode but it doesn't give me part of the desired effect it's supposed to.

The premise behind the nitric oxide (pre workout) drinks is to work in a Viagra-like way for your muscles. They are supposed to give you a better "pump" due to opening up blood vessels/allowing more blood flow. This doesn't happen for me but it DOES supercharge me prior to a workout by giving me a wakeup "jolt."

Postworkout and meal replacement protein shakes most certainly work, along with creatine, and definitely have there place in a lifters arsenal.
