Dessert?

Okay, so I love something like yogurt (usually Greek) or cereal with soy milk as my dessert, however, I usually have it after dinner and somehow feel guilty after eating it, like I committed some sort of sin. Is dessert like this okay?

Anything is fine as long as it is within your calorie limits. Your version of dessert is way healthier than anything I'd call dessert, for sure.0

I'm no expert, but I don't see anything wrong with dessert, especially if you are excercising...

i'm sure its fine, as long as you dont eat ridiculous amounts or go over your calories. i love vanilla yoghurt with cut up strawberries. yum. i dont feel guilty after it, lol. i feel guilty after a whole chocolate cake or something.0

As long as you stay within your calories allotted, there's nothing to feel guilty about.0

i love to eat cereal after dinner as a dessert if I have the calories left at the end of the day. it's better than what i used to eat for dessert.0

I've lost 35+ pounds eating dessert most nights. Anything from Fiber One brownies and milk, to ice cream. It just has to fit into your goal in order to keep losing.0

I sometimes like something sweet after my dinner as well. What I discovered are the Skinny Cow ice cream products. They are wonderful! Their ice cream sandwiches are usually in the 140-150 calorie range and their ice cream bars run around 100 calories a bar. They are not overly sweet and very satisfying. This allows me to have a treat and not feel too guilty at the same time.0

I like to eat nutella out of the jar with a spoon YUM so yeah yogurt is not the worst dessert you can have.0

Just like snacking, dessert gets a bad name. Why do people feel that deprivation is crucial to successful weight loss and health. A lot of people think its ok to eat yogurt for breakfast, maybe ok for a snack but bad for dessert? Same food, good for you etc. Quit getting hung up on labels and look at the food. A gallon of ice cream for dinner isn't good for you even if you call it dinner. I mean, it has eggs and milk in it, right?
I think I eat almost all day. If I'm at home, my lunch can span a couple hours as I nibble on a few carrots, some broth, a salad etc. Make good food choices and eat whenever you feel like it and quit feeling guilty.0 -
Those "desserts" are pretty healthy so why the guilt?0

Eating too late I suppose?0

It's definitely ok. Unless you get indigestion from eating before you go to bed, it doesn't matter what time you eat.0

If your within your calories then it's fine. Just don't go out and have yourself an over-sized chocolate sundae lol. I don't normally have a dessert but when I do I will have a bowl of mixed fruit with a couple of tablespoons of lite cool-whip or some fat free-sugar free chocolate pudding {serving} mixed in with some strawberries or if im really craving something super sweet I will have a glass of chocolate milk {sugar free chocolate milk mix w/light vanilla soy milk}.0

Snack pack low calorie pudding. I love the caramel (80 calories) and the tapioca (100 calories). I also love the Quaker creme brule rice cakes. Too me they just taste decadent.0

Don't think about your dessert like it's something to be ashamed of. You've earned it at the end of the day by making good choices in your other meals.
Sometimes, when I know want dessert, I Iog it in the morning. It sits there all day as a reminder to not screw up.0 -
I've done this too! :glasses:0
