Drinks...

So I have a question.

I was thinking of giving up soda. I only drink Diet Coke for soda.

Would giving up Diet Coke in my diet really make that big of a difference?

What should I try drinking instead of Diet soda that would be low or no calories, besides water? I love V8 Splash, but I'd hate to use up 200-300 for a bottle of juice. Any idea and suggestions would be helpful.

  • I used to drink Diet pop.....alot. I mean ALOT!! After all, it's healthy, right? WRONG! There are ingredients in Diet pop that inhibit weight loss. Once I stopped drinking pop I lost 20 poounds.....fast!! I've not had any pop now in 3 months and feel better for it!!
  • I drink flavored waters and Ice Tea. There are flavor additives on the market (crystal light, mio, etc) that give the water some flavor

    I figured giving up or limiting soda more would be really helpful. Just need to figure out something to drink at a restaurant besides water.

  • Hi there, I am still pretty new here and I havn't added black coffee to my intake list. I thought black coffee has 0 cal. Today, I was just kind of messing around, I added black coffee and it showed 20 - 60 cal per cup depending of which coffee brand. I am a water and coffee drinker,no softdrinks or juices. If this is true, I scewed up about 3 weeks of diary,lol.Can anyone please help me out on this one??

    I used to drink NOTHING but diet soda.....now I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and limit myself to no more than 1 can of soda a day. I don't know if it has helped in my weight loss, but I sure do feel TONS better.

    Try brewed herbal tea (they have natural fruit flavored ones) and if you absolutely have to sweeten it use Stevia.

    I used to think the water thing was BS but after only a week without diet drinks and 8 glasses a day I have noticed an immediate reduction in my cellulite which looked horrible. My skin is smoother as well.

    I'm positive that it easier to loose weight without the diet drinks. I've read studies which show that diet drinks act on your metabolism much in the same way as refined carbs. In any case, drinking the water seems to work.
