So I'm an information hog. One resource I found was a podcast of a nutrition course at learn out loud.

The lecture on Health At Any Size was quite interesting. Apparently there is really no link between obesity and health problems. The link is between lack of proper nutrition and lack of exercise and health problems. If an obese person starts to exercise and eat in a healthy manner, things like diabetes and high blood pressure will resolve them self or lessen even without weight loss. http://www.thinkmuscle.com/articles/gaesser/obesity.htm

The lecturer also mentioned revisiting the men that were used in the starvation studies. Some of the men developed severe psychological problems. Many became binge eaters and could no longer tell when they had eaten enough.

Anyway if your interested here's the link.

looks interesting. I think that Obesity is just a symptom of the habits that cause the health problems--why else would people of all sizes have heart attacks.

Someone can appear not to be fat on the outside..............but could have loads of visceral fat surrounding the organs that is very bad for you...........
