Whoohoo! Coffee and soda cut waaaaay back!

I'm very excited. Before I started MFP I was drinking coffee pretty much all morning. My hubby would get a 20 oz. cup and I would almost finish off the rest of the pot. To that, I added either sugar or sweet 'n low and creamer (granted it was lowfat). Then, the majority of my liquid was Diet Coke. Ugh....no wonder I was bloated, felt like crap all the time and couldn't lose weight!

I am now down to 2 cups a day, 1 tbsp of creamer (total) and a packet of sweet n low or splenda. I have a soda maybe once every 3 or 4 days and the rest of the time it's water! I'm so proud and I know I can stick with it at this point.

    Good for you, How is your energy level. I struggle with feeling fatigued and wanting a diet Dr. Pepper to keep going.

    That is amazing!! Coffee and Soda are a hard thing to stop drinking. Congrats!! Keep up the great work!

    Congratulations!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: That is very hard to do. I am down to just one cup of coffee first thing in the AM and I never drink pop anymore. I have tried giving up that one cup of java in the AM, but no can do - I am too grouchy without it:grumble: :grumble: Keep up the good work - that will help you so much giving those up!

    My energy level hasn't been too bad. When I workout I get a second burst of energy (I usually work out in the morning). Between this and my food choices, I seem to be doing OK so far. Sometimes I will have a glass of tea with sweet 'n low or splenda if I'm feeling tired but that hasn't happened too often yet.

    I've never been a coffee drinker, but I HAVE TO have my Coke Zero in the morning. :laugh: Gotta get my minor caffeine fix!! LOL :laugh: It's the only soda I drink all day........... water the rest of the time or a glass of lemonade if we're eating out. I used to drink about a 6-pack of Mountain Dew a day years ago:noway: :noway: but cut way back and switched from regular Pepsi to Diet Coke about 2.5 years ago. I was never a diet soda fan, but Coke Zero tastes like the real thing, but with 0 calories, 0 carbs - yeah!!:bigsmile: :bigsmile:
