In a world where society is telling us what we should look like and act like, the challenge is to be ourselves. We should all love ourselves regardless of whether we match up to others' expectations or not.

Thank you.
There's something unsettling to me when someone posts before and after pictures, and someone says "look how beautiful you are now!" I really just want to say, "yeah, well, I think she was beautiful the whole damn time. It just so happens that she's HAPPIER now."0 -

It's actually understanding that we're beautiful and worth it that should motivate us to do this for ourselves. Health and fitness is a gift we give ourselves. It's not for anyone else.0

I agree as well. I liked your post. I'm new on here. Ive been working out since December. I weigh 209 and my goal is 150. I think society focuses on being skinny. I just want to be healthy. Obesity and smoking took the life of motherat age 64. When she passed. I drowned myself in food. Today I'm making positive changes. I need lots of moral support.0

Hi sweetie I was 213 when I started on here and am now at 176. I am focusing on healthy eating and exercising. As I want to be a Personal Trainer, I have to bow down to society's level and accept their rules of what I should look like but only to a certain extent.
