I have been a member for 55 days now. I feel I have done really well getting a better life outlook on food and eating healthy. I have not been dieting, just changed the way I eat, (and portion sizes) I focus on now. I have lost 15lbs so far. However I seem to fall short on getting excercise in every day. I need suggestion on what everyone thinks is the best, every day work out, every other day...how often, and how can I make this a habbit like I have changing my way at looking at food. Thanks a bunch for all advice!

I'm not a huge fan of exercise, but have found once I get going It's ok, as long as I don't stop, once I miss a day or two it's really hard to start again! I'm a big fan of walking, outside more than treadmill, it's to easy to talk myself into stopping on the treadmill, if I'm outside I have to keep going to get back to where I started! I've been doing Jillian's 30 day shred almost everyday, I usually hate videos and get bored pretty easily, but this one is only 20-25 min so it goes by fast, and I've actually noticed changes in my body since I've started...best motivation ever!! Dancing is fun too, but you really have to be in the mood for it to be effective.

I would suggest that you just start trying different things and see what clicks for you, don't be afraid to switch it up if you find yourself getting bored or dreading it! Good luck!!!!

I started out walking, like others I am NOT a fan of the treadmill. I have a gym membership with my family........but I NEVER go. I then bought a couple of work out videos.....Biggest Loser Cardio Max (level 1 30 mins, level 2 10 mins and leverl 3 10 mins), then bought 30 DS (which I do at least 5 times a week........the plan is to do it every day but something seems to come up) each level is 20 mins including the warm-up and cool-down. I love Jillian M so much I have ordered two more of her tapes so after I finish 30 DS I can alternate and then take my 2 mile walk everyday as well.

I also find it hard to get back into focus if I skip more than one day in a row. Rest days are good, but make sure that you don't take too many in a row.

Good Luck you can do this!

Thanks ladies for your suggestion. I do have a gym membership and it sucks that I pay good money and some weeks its for nothing.. I do good go for a few weeks, then fall of becauce of work schedule, or life and then its all down hill. Ugh..i will work on staying more focused.

Try different things until you find something you like that you can stick with. I like my elliptical so I use it. I've tried different core training videos on Netflix and Hulu and found one I like. Today I started Bob Harper Kettlebell body shred and I liked it so I'll stick with that too. I also have Zumba, which while fun made me feel really klutzy and I've ordered 30 day shred. Its all about finding something you like to do. Don't give up!
