I just ran the longest I have ever run without stopping @ 2.9 mi, 6MPH.
I know that may not seem like a lot, but 5 weeks ago I stopped running after only 2 minutes, and couldn't make it more than 5 minutes at best!
Today I made it 32 minutes, and I have NEVER been dripping with as much sweat as I am now!
I love it!
Not to mention I feel clear-headed and more focused than I have all day.
What are your mini-milestones in exercise in fitness?
I want to share success with all of you!
Love love,

thats so awesome!!! i am proud of you. you give me inspiration. i am at that 2 minute right now. i decided that i would like to start running. we (my husband and i) have been hiking a hill near our house and the last week and a half we have been trying to run off and on. i also tried a few days of running around my block. i figured start there and eventually i can go 2 blocks, then 3, etc... it takes me 2 minutes to go around my block and im pretty sure im gonna die. i only did it a few times and then i quit. i think i may start back up again. after all, its only 2 minutes out of my day.
great job, keep it up! i'll have to keep you posted.0 -
That's fantastic! It really does invigorate you doesn't it???
I actually broke my own record tonight as well and ran 4 miles!!!
I NEVER thought I would be able to do that, especially for someone who had exercised induced asthma growing up! Running is so satisfying because you can feel yourself improving every time!
Let's keep it up!!!!:flowerforyou:0 -
That's great, Channing!
It's strange how once you push past a certain amount of time and get in the zone, you can go farther than you thought!
Bunny_98, take baby steps!!!
I used the Couch to 5K program for a few weeks to help my body adjust to running and work up endurance very slowly.
Interval training is great for your body as well, so I'd suggest maybe starting with walking at 3.8 MPH on the treadmill for 90 seconds, then jog around 5.4 MPH for 60 seconds...not quite so daunting as a longer run.
You can do it!
Thanks for the support!
Have a wonderful eve!
