Hi !
I've been reading here for a little while and decided to come introduce myself.
I'm Donna, 33 years old and originally from the UK. I am currently living in Warsaw, Poland.
I have had weight problems for most of my adult life, especially since having 3 children in less than 5 years, which all but destroyed my tummy muscles :(
I was at my heaviest in Jan 2010 at around 230lbs but over the course of the next 5-6 months I lost a lot, very quickly. I went down to around 167lbs. Sounds good, but it wasn't. At 5 feet 10 tall it was quite a healthy weight but I was still carrying a lot of fat/wobbly bits around my tummy, legs and bum and I felt lousy! I liked the fact I could shop at "skinny " shops and quite liked looking at myself in the mirror with clothes ON.
I started from then to be more healthy and managed to stay around 170lb until I got an office job with unsociable hours, sitting at a desk for 9 hours daily and not arriving home until after 9 pm, after which I had to prepare and eat dinner, often I picked up a take away on the way home :( Anyway, it resulted in my weight climbing to 192lbs around 2 months back.
I'm terrified of being big again so around 5 weeks ago I started being very strict with my calories and upped my exercise, introducing myself to kettle bells, 20-30 mins routines 5 x weekly I also use my exercise bike too anywhere from 20-60 mins 5x weekly. I also do some floor exercises that are specifically for core muscles ( my abs were separated after pregnancies) but it's the KB's that I believe have shown the best results.
I started at 192lb I'm now down to 179
My measurements...Waist was 36 inches - now is 32
Hips were 38 inch - now 37
Bust fullest was 40 inch- now 37
Bust under was 33 inch - now 32
Best of all my body fat percentage has dropped down by around 4-5 % in this short time. Also since using the KB's and the core exercises my separated abs are almost no more, the muscle has, almost 100%, joined itself again :)

I'm interested in a Paleo/Hunters diet and while I haven't gone 100% that way yet I have made some changes. I try to avoid flours, breads etc.... if I eat rice I make sure it's brown/wild, I still use some dairy but try to cut right back on it along with lots of other tweaks. It has made a difference to my tummy- less bloating than I had before, which is fab.
I'm still very far from my own version of perfect, but plan to continue my good work until i find it.
