Starvation Mode Number

Hey guys,
The site set my goal calorie intake at 1230 for each day. If that's the case, is my "starvation mode" number still 1200 calories?
Thanks!
Alison

I personally wouldn't go by what the site gives you. Not saying that its incorrect, but try googling different BMR calculators to see if you're getting around the same number. Try this one to start: http://www.muscleandstrength.com/tools/bmr-and-daily-calorie-calculator.html0

There is no magic number that applies to everyone. As a general rule, you are supposed to retain more lean mass and thus lose more fat by eating at or above your bmr. Bmr is the number given to you as the number of calories you would be given if you were in a coma on a feeding tube.0

Check out this post, it will help you find a much more accuarte number, although the number itself will never be static. It is merely a rough estimate, that you "toy" with once you have found it, and adjust it for your needs!0
