Everyone~

It is with great sadness that I even feel the need to vent/rant abou tthis....please, please pay attention to the signs in your gym locker rooms asking you to lock your lockers.....I had finished my cardio last evening at my gym and went to my locker to put my ipod back in so I could finish up with my ab workout and then head home....was gone a total of 12 mins!!! Someone stole my ipod from my locker in the flippin 12 minutes!!!!!! Now this is around 9:30 at night and the gym is not at its busiest, but still have no idea who would have done such a thing!! Obviously I am pissed that my ipod was taken, but I am even more appalled at the act - someone opening a closed locker and helping themselves to something that was not theirs!!! Where is all the respect??? Am I the only one that feels in these harder economic times you tend to look out more for your peers? Again, I am just blown away by such behavior. The only thing that I got going for me is KARMA!!!!! So, please - keep your things locked up folks....I never, never would have thought this would have happened at my gym.

I hear ya! My father was recently in the hospital and left his cell phone on the table when he went to get X-Rays, and when he came back, someone had stolen his cell phone!
I was shocked - even in a hospital, nothing is safe.

So sorry to hear about your iPod!

I'm so sorry that happened. That is my worst nightmare  I am just like you, though, I put my items in my locker and don't lock it, especially when I'll be "right back". It doesn't matter where you live or what gym you go to, you never really know what kind of people go there. I feel so bad for you, so sorry

Un-freakin believable!! I used to work in a hospital and it still surprises me. I just don't understand the mentality that it would take for someone to physically take something that did not belong to them....

UUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!! Hope your father is well.

I know how that one feels. My daughter, (then 2 yrs. old) was in the Children's Hospital for a major surgery. When we got back to the room after surgery the cleaning staff had come in and done a most thorough cleaning. About a half dozen bottles of brand new and very nice lotions and such had gone missing from the closet in her room. I was so mad...I had just bought them the day before and had spent about $150.00 on them.

Something very similar happened to me, I know exactly what you mean. I had a nice digital watch that was a gift from my then-boyfriend, and a pair of sunglasses stolen from the locker at the gym one time. I don't understand the gall of someone helping themselves to another's belongings, but I guess there are just some people out there who don't give a rip.

    Sad.
