Can anyone tell me how to log a ribeye that I am cooking at home for dinner tonight? I know its 8 oz but the packaging does not have a nutrition label so I have no clue how many calories are in the steak. I'm also using a homemade marinade.

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure you can find a good approximation for the ribeye in the database. For the marinade, just log each of the ingredients that you use for the marinade. (If you're making it for more than one person, don't forget to scale down for the amount of marinade that you will be eating).

Search the database. Here's the one I use: Home Grilled - Seasoned Ribeye Steak, 4 oz 268

Thanks everyone! Does it matter if it is grilled or not? I'm cooking it on the stove. rainy day so can't use the grill :(

Easiest way I do this is just to put "Generic" in front of anything you search for which will give you a general idea. I used to take a look at the average amounts on each to pick which one would be the best fit (obviously, if I search for one and they range 300-500 calories, a 90 calorie entry is DEFINITELY wrong...). Now, I will say one thing I got is a LIFESAVER is a scale that has nutritional information that you can input according to food type. For instance, I can weigh 4oz of food, put in a code that tells it is is chicken and how it is cooked, and it fills in the rest for you on the screen. There are a ton of them on google if you are interested. :-) I got mine on a woot deal for 10 bucks.
