Recommend a scale?

I am using my roommates but in a couple months I'm moving and need my own. I do NOT want one with a memory (hers has a memory), and I don't want to spend that much because I'm a poor college student. I would most like to get one through amazon, I have free shipping and a gift card there.
Suggestions?
Second question, how accurate is the Wii fit? I have one of those but it's more of a hassle to get out all the time.

I highly highly recommend this one, it's been super accurate for me, I've had it over a year now with zero issues:

I second this! Amazing scale0 -
Someone just recommended this to me, so I ordered it last night. Excellent reviews.

I agree with the above posters. The EatSmart is a great scale!0

Hm okay thanks! I wonder if it's worth paying $28 for a scale though while I already have the wii fit...any comments on accuracy of it?0

I also have one of these.. It is the best scale I have EVER owned.

Absolutely - LOVE mine and when the 1st one had some fading on the digital display they immediately sent me out a replacement - without having to return the 1st one.0 -

EXTREMELY accurate, even when moved from place to place. And believe me - I've tried it everywhere I could think of just to make sure it is accurate.0 -
Do these scales work on carpeted floor? Most do not.0

This!
I have one. Put on a flat space on the floor, it is stone cold reliable.0 -
Hah yeah I've given up on recalibrating it, it's always been 100% accurate even before recalibrating it, and that's with a toddler and a 5 year old jumping onto it every day to see the pretty numbers light up!
OP I would spend the 30$. It's a small investment! It will last you a long time, I've spent way more money than that on scales that did NOT WORK. I think a good bathroom scale and a good kitchen scale are my most valuable tools, they help me know exactly what i'm putting into my body, and keep track of how my body reacts to it.0 -
I have a Tanita scale, and while it was $80 a few years ago I don't use half the bells and whistles. It gives you weight, body fat %, profiles for up to 3 more people and a guest. However, it is highly accurate. As others have mentioned though, that was 8 years ago and I probably wouldn't spend that much now. I usually step off before it even gives me my body fat % (it's highly dependent on how much water you had that day).
However, if you want to stick with your Wii fit you can do that. It doesn't matter which scale you use, just use the same one each and every time. That way you can have a baseline.
Test the accuracy by putting on a 10 or 25 lb weight and see how close it is. My Tanita said "10.0" when I put on a 10 lb weight.0 -
Oh and I dont have the Wii balance board but a quick search online tells me that it's not accurate, someone was saying that they had a difference of 10 pounds when they climbed on and off... 10 pounds, imagine thinking that you "gained" that because your scale sucks... An accurate scale saves so many headaches0

Wii fit scale is not accurate. Seriously. Not. My recommendation for a poor college student for a scale-NONE. Use the one at your college gym and none other. Having one at home is financially unnecessary. If your college has a gym, it almost certainly has one. Just use that one every other week and you'll do fine.0

This one does have memory I guess but posting it incase someone stumbles on this thread and it's what they're looking for.
"THINNER Scales for the way you live"
4 user memory
Takes your body fat in % and pounds
water/hydration %
bone mass
and bone mass
long life lithium batteries.0 -
That's a good idea, but there's only two at my school gym, one is broken and the other definitely says I weigh waaay more than I do. :P Both are extremely old.0
