Only 17 lbs down but...

So far I've only lost 17 lbs, but I'm already looking about as thin as I did at 110 lbs! Working my muscles to tone them up is huge. I think I'm actually looking better now than when I was a size 2! I was "skinny" before but now I see that I really didn't look "good"
In June 2010 I weighed 110 lbs and wore a size 2. My bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding was actually too big as a size 2, it had to be pinned in the back the day of the wedding to stay in place. Then my thyroid stopped working. I gained a lot of weight very quickly. Once I was diagnosed and started medication, I got my energy back. I knew that losing weight now wasn't going to be easy but I was determined to get into shape! This meant, I couldn't do my "former" diets of eating very little for 3 weeks and dropping 10 lbs. My metabolism will never work as it did before, so I needed to change my habits. So I've been working out and eating healthy. When I first started, I couldn't do more than 10 sit ups on the yoga ball, I was so tired. I could only do about 5 push ups. Now I can do 250 sit ups at a time and 150 push ups, always increasing! I've also done a lot of elliptical and power walking. I'm not quite where I want to be yet, but I'm feeling so great!
Anyways, here are some pics...
June 2010 - 110 lbs
Heaviest, December 2011 - not sure about the weight because I didn't start weighing myself until I started on here in February, and I had already started working out and eating healthy by then. Somewhere over 150 though.
February 25, 2012 - 7 lbs lost since starting MFP on Feb 1
April 20, 2012 - 17 lbs lost since starting MFP Feb 1
I will post more pictures when I reach my goal!

That's so awesome that you can do so many push ups and sit ups! I am also finding that exercise is helping my metabolism more than I realized that it would. I feel better when I've worked out.0
