Need help/advice with weightlifting

Hi everyone. I browsed some posts about weightlifting, and I wanted to start doing it as it will burn fats faster. I haven't tried weightlifting in any form. I don't have the time to go to the gym (and not in my area) so I was looking for some kind of program to do at home and just buy the equipments/weights I will need. They were saying to read the book New weightlifting rules for women. I have a copy already (downloaded it somewhere) but I haven't started reading it. Can someone suggest a program for starters on weightlifting.

    I used new rules, I've heard good things about you are your own gym for body weight exercises which may work better for you not using a gym
