How to calculate calories for weight loss

Hi can anyone help me calculate how many calories i should be eating to loose 2lb's a week?

I'm 45

I weigh 187lbs

I'm 5'7 inches

I have a admin job i.e. sitting down most of day

I work out 4 times a week 20 mins each time with kettlebells

    what did this site come up with when you set your goals ? Probably 1200 cals at a guess, and then eat some of the exercise estimated calorie burn.

    HI yes 1200 cals does that seem about right? Seems not much to me?

    Do i eat any of the extra cals earned from exercise?

    it isn't a sophisticated algorithm, so if you plug in a high weight loss goal and a low activity level it'll calculate a low calorie intake and fix that at its minimum 1200 (the calculation probably said 900 or something).

    It isn't much, and there's a school of thought about eating more - plug in a smaller weight loss rate and you'll get a higher target.

    MFP has already deducted the calories for weight loss, so you can eat your exercise calories and not increase the deficit / rate of loss.
