I only have one tat so far :grumble: But I'm working on saving money for my next one (celtic peace sign to go on opposite shoulder) and eventually I want a lower back peice of the solar system.

    tat.jpg

Before I get flamed for my tat - its the logo of my favorite band Bad Religion. It has nothing to do with anti-christ or anti-religion.

my one lonely tattoo, it's my fraternity letters from college in a maltese cross with a skull and bones in the middle. Used to be faded gold but it's gone a little orange, oh well.

i've been obsessed with the art of tattooing since I was in highschool. Then got to college and never could afford to get one. Which I'm glad I didn't...cause i probably would have gotten something crappy.
Then I met my friend about 12 years ago when He moved here from South Africa. He was an artist. Got a apprenticship (SP?) as a tattoo artist. With his natural talent and love of tattoo's..... he quickily became a great tattoo artist. He always told me "any time you want a tattoo, tell me, i'll hook you up."
couple years later after doodling around for awhile..coming up with ideas, rehashing them. Bam, I came up with this. He pretty much did it for me, free of charge. I just tipped him basically.

That is awesome... I need a friend like that! We used to have a guy that would do that for us... but that was back in the day when my hubby was managing a Hot Topic.. he'd hook our guy up with stuff and he'd hook him up with some free tats. When my husband got deployed.. and after some ugly suggestive myspace messages from our tattoo guy to me.. we lost touch with him. So now we need to find a new guy. LOL.

The rad part is, him and I have always talked about going to Japan together. But because of his visa issues staying in the states, he wasn't able to travel outside the U.S. for awhile. Finally he got his visa squared away. Which worked out great, cause my wife and I are going to Tokyo in October. He's coming with me. Gonna hang for two weeks and he's gonna work at some shops in Japan. Its like his dream. Well its any tattoo artists dream to work in Japan, obviously. Its gonna be alot of fun.
    I'm excited.

Well make a long story longer.... my wife and I got married back in 2007. She was in the States on a student/work visa for the last few years. We dated for awhile. I came back from Afghanistan and we decided to get married at the courthouse, so we could get a license and file for her green card. It was kinda rushed but with the intent of having a formal ceremony later on when we could save up some more money. Then we decided it was easier to just do it in Japan, instead of flying all her family over here.

So in October, going to Tokyo with my parents, my buddy and our pastor. Have a ceremony with her family. Nothing huge and fancy, just like 40 family members and guests. Plus kinda a trip as well.

We're gonna wait on our honeymoon till next year, so we can save up for something really nice. I wanna go to Fiji, she wants to go to Hawaii. We might have to come up with a compromise, haha.

yeah half the time he wouldn't even take the money. I had to force it on him. I think 50 bucks here, 100 bucks there. All in all, not more then 200 bucks. Now he's charging by the hour and doens't take walk-ins. Only appointments.
